Tembisa Pirates FC wins soccer tournament
Tembisa Pirates FC becomes champions of the Kgabo Mpheroane Winter Games.
Tembisa Pirates FC claimed its rightful place when they proved to be champions of the Kgabo Mpheroane Winter Games over the weekend.
The organiser of the tournament, Kgabo Mpheroane, said the match between Tembisa Pirates and TNT FC kicked off in high spirits and Thapelo scored the first goal for Tembisa Pirates in the first 10 minutes.
“Captain of TNT Pat scored an equalising goal when his team was awarded a penalty after his teammate Nhlanhla was brought down by Tembisa Pirates goalkeeper Joel,” said Kgabo.
The score was 1-1 and Tembisa Pirates conceded another goal when Pat pierced its defence and TNT was in the lead with 2-1.

“Three minutes before the final whistle Tembisa Pirates equalised through a penalty by Thapelo after a handball foul by TNT defender in Skhalo.
“Then the game was forced to extra time.
“Three minutes into the extra time, Sfundo’s cross kick landed into the net.
“Sfundo scored another goal putting Tembisa Pirates a goal ahead after a poor clearance by TNT.
“The score was four for Tembisa Pirates and two for TNT.
“Five minutes before the final whistle TNT’s captain Pat scored the last goal of the game after a wonderful pass from Pepe,” said Kgabo.
At the end of the extra time, the score was 4-3 in favor of Tembisa Pirates.
