Avion Golf Club lies third in union league

After four rounds of the Ekurhuleni Golf Union Senior Amateurs League, Avion Park Golf Club is in the third position.

Avion played against Reading in the fourth round and won two and halved one at home and lost two and won one away, winning 3½ to 2½.

Avion plays in section two, which also includes Kempton Park, Serengeti, ERPM Heidelberg, Lake Club, Reading and Daveyton golf clubs.

Serengeti and ERPM top the league on eight points each, followed by Avion on five points.

Kempton is sixth on two points.

Section one is led by SAPS Training Centre (6), followed by State Mines (5) and Germiston (5).
