Daschner makes history at Riverpark Pigeon Club
On Saturday only young birds will race from Colesberg as the open race has been allocated to the Yearling National.
For the first time in Riverpark Pigeon Club’s (RPC) history, one member won all three races this past weekend.
Beano Daschner won the sprint race on Friday, as well as the young bird and open races on Saturday.
On Friday, Gauteng Pigeon Union (GPU) liberated the pigeons from Bloemfontein for the ninth leg of the sprint races. RPC had 12 members flying 140 pigeons.
Daschner beat Sky Lofts (Corrie Moller) by a margin of only 25 seconds.

On Saturday, the union liberated the young bird race pigeons from Aliwal North. Daschner’s winning pigeon had a nett flying time of 6:24:07. RPC had 13 members flying 134 pigeons in this race.
Daschner beat Doves Nest Guest House (Gawie Botha) by a margin of one minute 22 seconds and Daschner was 11th in the GPU results at the time of going to print.

In the open race, RPC had 16 members flying 191 pigeons. Daschner’s winning pigeon had a nett flying time of 6:12:07 and beat Le Roux Lofts (Pieter le Roux) by a margin of one minute and 25 seconds.
At the time of going to print, Daschner was 13th in the GPU results.
