Grant George, Allan Pike and André du Toit won the night bowls league at at Avion Park Bowling Club.
Over the past five weeks, bowlers and non-bowlers from around Ekurhuleni participated in the league.
Thirty-six players in teams of four, played “cricket night bowls” which entails: one end up, to be bowled towards a scoring mat and one end down, towards cricket wickets.
The object of this game is three-folded: get as many wickets as possible to deduct it from the opposition’s score; gather as many points on the drawing mat for your own team and have fun.
It started at around 6pm on a Thursday evening and ended at about 9pm with a lovely cooked supper.
Any people interest in joining the next league, can call Cobus Galloway on 083 266 7290 or Judy van den Heever on 061 230 1651.
