Purdon takes national champ title

He was delighted with his win and prize.

MX rider and Erora club member Tristan Purdon settled the dust in style in the National MX Series Championship, walking away with the title recently in Bloemfontein.

He was delighted with his win and prize.

“I was happy to participate in the National MX Series because I had to compete with the best individuals in the country.

“The competition was tough this year but I worked through the difficulties. This sport is based on confidence and if one is not confident enough then it will be difficult to compete among the best.

“When it got tough I just had to push and believe in myself more. I kept grinding till I got to the finishing line first. People think it happens overnight, but it takes training and learning.

“The heat was the hard part. It was super hot that weekend and it was tough. My favourite part were the big jumps. Bloemfontein has the best jumps.”
