Diski Nine-9 FC calls on community for support

The football club is looking for local businesses or members of the community to support their team with sports equipment or money.

The Diski Nine-9 Football Club is seeking sponsors and donations from the community.
The club requests any type of donation, including sports equipment, kit, water bottles, bags and financial support.
This year, they launched a community development programme for young boys and girls for them to join in all Safa leagues in Ekurhuleni, including boys u-13, u-15, u-17 and senior women and netball teams.
The women's team has already registered for the competition with Safa Ekurhuleni.
According to Gabriel Sithole, the founder and coach of Diski Nine-9 FC in Ivory Park, the club has 400 young boys and 50 young girls who are active members of the community soccer and netball teams. Their ages range from 11 to 19 years old.
“Our mission is to provide a learning atmosphere for the children. Through athletics, the development aims to provide a tough, competitive and instructional programme that emphasises the significance of community, honesty, integrity and other life lessons and values,” said Sithole.
“In the past, our teams could not fully take part in their respectful leagues because of a lack of equipment. As a result, we are well behind the curve in terms of football and arts development.
“For our operational services to be successful, we rely on donations, funding and sponsorship,” said Sithole.
Community members can contact Sithole on 073 521 2307 or at info@diskinine-9.co.za or gabriel.sithole@diskinine-9.co.za
