Thembisa Mile changes the location but keeps the same spirit
The Olifantsfontein Sports Ground offers ample parking space and improved accessibility, contributing to an overall positive and secure environment for all involved.
The event coordinators of Thembisa Mile announced a change of venue for the 2024 event, set to take place in October at Olifantsfontein Sports Ground.
After careful consideration, they determined the original venue, Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre, poses logistical challenges such as insufficient parking space and escalating traffic volumes on RTJ Namane Drive (Straight Line).
The growing number of participants also led to increased congestion at the Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre, necessitating to shift to a more accommodating venue.
The ongoing construction at the Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre and Makhulong parking area has influenced the decision to relocate the event to the Olifantsfontein Sports Ground as it is also closer to home and accessible to many participants.

The focus of this change is to prioritise the well-being and safety of participants, spectators, and volunteers.
