Kempton Park’s Red Sox Rams faced Alberton’s Young Stars in Kempton Park on Sunday in the Gauteng Baseball Senior Reserve League.

Red Sox Rams jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first inning with runs by Husain Ibrahim Michael Steenkamp, Vincent Metcalf and Dave Otto.
Red Sox RAMS added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning with runs brought in by Glen Barnard, Vincent Metcalf and Bradley Dowling.
Otto led off the pitching for Red Sox Rams to earn the win. He surrendered no hits and no runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none.
Courtney Campbell took the loss for Young Stars.
The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing 13 runs on nine hits, striking out two and walking three.
