Kempton Park Spurs edge Kitoko 2–1 in thrilling local derby
Kempton Park Spurs claimed a dramatic 2–1 victory over Kitoko in a fiercely contested local derby packed with passion, skill and late drama.
In a highly anticipated local derby, Kempton Park Spurs secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Kitoko, delivering a match filled with intensity, drama and skill.
Spurs struck early when Tino, nicknamed Mbappé, found space just three minutes into the game to give his side the lead.
Kitoko hit back through Musona, who pushed forward from his centre-back position to score after capitalising on a rare defensive lapse by Spurs’ captain Tshego.

Khathu worked hard to drive Kitoko forward, but Wicus of Spurs stood firm, and the teams went into the break level at 1–1.
Kitoko dominated much of the second half, but Spurs regained the lead when striker Letsoalo earned a penalty after being fouled inside the box.
Siphe converted confidently from the spot to make it 2–1.
Despite Kitoko’s efforts to contain Tino, he remained a constant threat throughout the match.
Tapiwa impressed at right-back, while the midfield battle between Kgopo and Mpho showcased the competitive nature of the fixture.
Spurs’ veteran Mega provided invaluable leadership for his side.
“Kitoko coach Willard Katsande is an exceptional coach, and we continue to learn from his expertise,” said Kempton Park Spurs coach Chris.
In the dying moments, Kitoko were awarded a penalty after Nathan of Spurs was adjudged to have pushed a striker in the box, but the chance was wasted as the ball flew over the crossbar.
