Community fitness day returns to Kaalfontein Primary School this November
The fourth annual Kaalfontein community fitness day promises fun, movement, and activities for children, adults and seniors alike.
For the fourth consecutive year, Kgantshaa Bophelo Fitness Club will host a community fitness day at Kaalfontein Primary School, 3857 Pilchard Street, on November 15.
The day will run from 10:00 to 17:00, with DJ Clemdeuce providing entertainment and Super MC serving as the programme director.
Participants are encouraged to wear sportswear and bring a towel, yoga mat and skipping rope.
The event promises an energetic mix of activities for all ages, from children to pensioners, and aims to inspire healthy living.

The club’s founder, Tebogo Fredericca Mashala (49), who started the fitness group in Kaalfontein, co-ordinates daily training sessions at Kaalfontein Primary School from 17:15 to 18:30, as well as morning sessions for seniors and people with disabilities at the Ekhwaan Day Care Centre every Tuesday and Thursday.
“This fitness day brings our community together through health, movement and fun,” said Mashala.
“We’ve seen incredible participation from young people and the elderly. It’s truly a family atmosphere.”
Entry is free. However, the organisers have appealed for assistance with mobile toilets because the venue faces a water shortage, limiting facilities for an all-day event.
