Strong showing for Kempton Ringtennis Club at South African nationals

Kempton Ringtennis Club continues its rise, with strong results at the SA championships and multiple players selected for national training squads.

Kempton Ringtennis Club performed well at the South African National Championships held in Pretoria recently.

Several players from the club won medals, highlighting the progress the team has made.

Kempton players medalled in every age group they entered, with the exception of the veterans category, where the club hopes to improve in future competitions.

Coach Kobus Boshoff, who took over the team in January, expressed pride in the players’ achievements. He said their dedication and commitment have been evident from the start.

“The hard work and dedication of the players can clearly be seen in their recent achievements. The club is also under new management and has been focusing strongly on player development and growing the club,” Boshoff said.

The team trains twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, at facilities generously provided by Kempton Hoërskool.

According to Boshoff, Kempton Ringtennis Club is the club in South Africa that has produced the most national players.

The club has 31 active players and continues to grow.

Out of these, 10 have already been included in the national training squad for the 2027 Tennikoit World Cup in India.
