MSG Foundation works to improve the living conditions of the needy

In the midst of the pandemic, a local foundation is aiding individuals in the community by offering relief to enable them to rebuild their lives.

MSG Foundation has dedicated its time to help those in need by donating food packs on June 27 in Thembisa.
According to the founder of the organisation, Mavis Mahlangu, the foundation has stepped up to assist the community’s marginalised members during this critical time.
“The intention was to donate to the children and their primary caregivers by providing them with enjoyable experiences in our luxury cars, however, this was not possible due to the epidemic.
“MSG employees then came up with the plan of hosting a fun day and contributing gifts, which included food, blankets, a jumping castle, popcorn, and water to keep the youngsters occupied for the day.
“The goal was to offer a day of stress-relief, as some of the people we treated had lost family members as a result of illnesses, including Covid-19. We wanted to remind them that if they took care of themselves and follow the rules, they too can be survivors.
“We can tackle the difficulties together and find a solution to the problem if we stay positive, talk with one another, and work together.
“We would like to see individuals rise above their circumstances to help fight poverty in the community. We want to see orphans being cared for and youngsters being given work opportunities. GBV programs and campaigns in our town are also vital.
“We want our beneficiaries to live a healthy lifestyle, for jobs to be created for the community, as well as a safe haven being established for our children.”
