What better way to celebrate the arrival of longer days and shorter nights than with the Spring Colour Festival 2013, the first colour festival to be hosted in Ekurhuleni on October 13 from 11am.
Dries Niemandt Park will be transformed into a kaleidoscopic venue with coloured powder being thrown into the air, as inspired by the Hindu spring festival which usually takes place in March.
Brought to you by Frame Digital Media, the event line-up includes local acts such as Priddy Ugly, The Vatos, Bhaze, Hlathi-Baby, The Undergrounds and DJs will be playing hip hop, dance and house music throughout the day.
Special guest MCs Malope le Roux and YFM DJ, Khutso Theledi, will keep the crowds entertained. The day’s festivities will include a fashion show showcasing the latest lifestyle collections from upcoming designers and models.
Tickets start from R100 and each bag of coloured powder is R15. The dress code is vintage white. Cooler boxes will be allowed at R50 but no bottles will be allowed inside the venue.
