Young ballerinas to show off their skills

THESE dancers will perform at the event.

Over 70 ballet dancers aged six to 20 will perform in a display of work, Dance Encore, this Saturday at the civic centre.

These dancers were selected to perform on the basis of excellent results in their Cecchetti examinations last year.

The dancers live in Kempton Park, Edenvale, Bedfordview, Germiston, Alberton, Benoni, Boksburg, Kensington, Springs and Brakpan. They had been coached for the performances by local teachers and will perform in two items specially choreographed for this annual event which has become the highlight of the East Rand Cecchetti Region’s calendar.

The performances are at 2pm and 6pm.
