Art weekend at Flamingo Dam

There is no charge for members of the public to view the works on show

THE April art weekend at Flamingo Dam in Modderfontein will be held on Saturday 5 and Sunday April 6.

Local artists and some of Johannesburg’s most talented artists will be exhibiting works using a variety of different media and styles, including oils, watercolours, miniatures, wildlife pictures, etc.

These monthly art weekends are held on the first weekend of every month and are highly enjoyed by members of the public who browse through the works on show, bring a picnic to the park or enjoy refreshments at the local restaurants.

Exhibits are set up from 9am and close at 5pm, displaying a variety of interesting and appealing work under the trees around the picturesque Flamingo Dam.

There is no charge for members of the public to view the works on show. This is a relaxing family event in the open air and dogs on leads are welcome too.

Artists who wish to exhibit should contact Brenda Bromfield on 082-553-2945082-553-2945. There is no selection process but exhibitors will be required to pay a nominal registration fee.
