Don’t miss kiddies festival on Aug 30
There will be all sorts of entertainment for children
THE MES Kempton Park Kids Festival is around the corner and there is great excitement in the air.
This will be the third festival MES will host and this year’s festival promises to offer the public a day packed with fun.
The festival is taking place at Maranatha Community Church, c/o Dann Road and Veld Street on August 30.
Children can enjoy themselves on the various rides and there will also be a variety of food and flea-market stalls to enjoy. Bring the whole family and come celebrate the arrival of spring.
The entertainment will include horse rides, kiddies train rides, parachute rocket, walking water balls, walking grass balls, jumping castles, a metro police dog unit demonstration and a big play park with jumping castles, kiddies rides, clamber club obstacle course and entertainers.
Entry to the festival will be free of charge. Rides cost R10 each or parents can purchase a wristband for R80. These wristbands will give them unlimited access to the rides for the entire day.
The play park can, however, only be entered with a wristband.
Parents who entered the Baby and Toddler Competition must be ready at 11am for the announcement of the winners.
MES would like to express its gratitude to everyone that entered. Photographs can be collected at the festival if parents would like them back.
This festival is an annual fundraising event for MES Kempton Park to support the projects they are busy with in our inner city. Projects include an overnight shelter, trauma room, feeding scheme, food parcel project, after-school centre, clothing bank and their latest project will be a training centre.
So by having fun you can also make a difference in the lives of the less-fortunate that live in our inner city.
