Video: Country star off to New Zeeland

He has performed all over South Africa

LOCAL Country singer, Jason Bradley from Pomona, will perform at two music festivals in New Zealand in January next year.

This father of two, who moved here five years ago, will play at the Marton Festival and then the Festival of Lights the following week.

Bradley started out as a drummer in a metal band but later realised his true passion lied in country music.

“Country is more of a challenge, you have to be more disciplined and you can teach yourself a lot more,” said Bradley.

Bradley plays guitar, drums, piano, base trumpet and the accordion.

He said his father taught him to play guitar when he was five.

Bradley, who has released five albums, has performed all over South Africa, from Aardklop to the Jakaranda 94.2 Festival and the KykNet Country Show. He also appeared on KykNet’s Jukebox with Pieter Koen.

Bradley will perform at the Barnyard Theatre at Emperors Palace on October 27 to raise funds for his New Zealand tour.

Tickets cost R100 and are available at support@iticket.co.nz or 0508 iTICKET (484-253).

The doors will open at 6pm.
