Bourbon, beer and burger festival at Charity Mile
For families looking for a great day out with attractions for both children and parents, then this is the place to be
A bourbon, beer and burger festival will be hosted at Turffontein Racecourse at this year’s annual Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile on November 1.
The festival has gathered, from among the best markets in Johannesburg, exquisite craft beer sellers and mouth-watering gourmet pop-up food stalls.
For those who want to experience an elegantly different day at the races, the festival is the place to be. It all happens in an open, grassy area located right next to the race track and parade ring which is reserved exclusively for festival guests.
A retro-rustic country atmosphere, complete with hay bales and long tables, provides a relaxing and fun environment to sample new flavours while enjoying great company.
For families looking for a great day out with attractions for both children and parents, then this is the place to be. View sleek thoroughbred horses from up close and sip on a selection of cold beverages while the kids enjoy fresh outdoor activities.
At the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile the traditional focus on horse racing and charity remains but the festival area introduces new and various attractions. These include a host of culinary and beverage suppliers and one or two touches that make for an unusual day out.
At the heart of the action is the Emperors Palace Charity Mile in which each horse will win money for the charity it represents.
The event will be open from 11am to 8pm.
