Into The Woods on Stage in Edenvale
The production opens at St Chad’s Anglican Church Hall on October 31
EDENVALE Acting and Drama Society will soon present the musical, Into the Woods.
With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, Into the Woods intertwines the plots of several familiar Brothers Grimm fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Cinderella.
The story, which follows the characters to explore the consequences of their wishes and quests, is bound together by a childless baker, his wife and their interactions with a witch.
The production opens at St Chad’s Anglican Church Hall, c/o 4th Street and 8th Avenue, Edenvale on October 31 with shows on November 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7pm for curtain up at 7.30pm.
Tickets are R70 each for evening shows and R50 each for the November 8 2pm matinee.
