Red Devils defeat Ivory Lion FC

The final match of the top 8 tournament, between the Red Devils and Ivory Lion, ended with a 2-1 for the Red Devils.

The match was played on Sunday at the Winnie Mandela Zone 6 Sports Grounds.

Soccer fans came out in large numbers to support their favourite teams.

Players from both teams appeared fit and ready for the confrontation.

10 minutes into the first half, Red Devils’ striker Karabo Mokoena scored the first goal for his team.

Going into the break, the score was still 1-0 in favour of the Red Devils.

The second half saw Red Devils’ left winger, Luciano Matsoso, scored a second goal after he received a well-timed pass from Matome Mathobela.

The Ivory Lion players absorbed the pressure and managed to score a consolation goal through Pororo Madisha.

The Red Devils’ coach, Morris Mokobodi, said he was impressed with the performance of his players throughout the tournament.

“I am extremely delighted that we won and that is all that matters,” he said.
