Bring your dog along for a fun run on November 15
Run with your canine compatriot and look forward to plenty of great entertainment, music, picnic spots as well as lucky-draw prizes on the day
RUNNER’S World, in association with Montego Pet Nutrition, will host a dog run at Walkhaven Dog Park, Plot 77, Zwartkop, Johannesburg on November 15.
Bring your dog along for a day full of fun and entertainment with music, sports and a picnic.
There will be two races/runs. One will be 6km and will start at 7.30am, and the other, a 3km race, will start at 8am.
There will also be a lucky draw and prize-giving.
Although the day is set to be jam-packed with fun for participants and their furry pets, it’s also about giving back to the community, with a portion of proceeds raised going towards the Barking Mad Foundation which aims to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home South Africa’s abandoned pets.
“As a dog lover myself, there are very few events dedicated to having fun with our pets while keeping healthy”, said Mike Finch, editor at Runner’s World.
“The Dog Run aims to do just this, and we hope that dog owners join us for this exciting day out, whether taking part in the run, or supporting from the side-line.”
Entry for the dog run is R160 a person and includes race entry, a doggie bandana, goodie bag, donation to Barking Mad, a three-month subscription to Runner’s World and a free dog wash, compliments of Comfortis.
