Show off your braai skills to Jan Braai

Calling all Braai Gurus in Gauteng!
Legendary braai icon, Jan Braai, is on a nationwide mission to find the best braai whizzes, showing their skills at selected Campworld stores in November.
Braai day competitions around South Africa will focus on four different categories: the perfectly-braaied medium-rare steak, the best-tasting potjie, the most irresistible potbrood, and the most delicious braai-broodjie – this is what the judges at each event will be seeking.
The East Rand event takes place on Saturday, November 8 at Sunseeker Caravans & Campworld Alberton, at Sunseeker Business Park, 8 Nansen Place, Tulisa Park.
Braai fires will burn from 10am to 3pm. Winners in each category at the event will be awarded an exclusive trophy and will be crowned the “champion” by Jan Braai himself! Also up for grabs are a range of great prizes from Campworld.
In the steak category, all meat is provided. You only need to bring those top secret spices.
For the potjie, contestants need to bring all the ingredients for their well-guarded family recipes. Plain dough will be provided for the potbrood (bring your own spices and other ingredients) and plain white bread for the braai-broodjie – bring your own fillings.
Don’t forget side dishes, salads and drinks for the whole family.
