Naima Kay set to light-up the Big Top Arena

She promises to bring an exuberant yet soul-lifting peacefulness to the show

CARNIVAL City is proud to present one of the newest, brightest-shining stars in the South African music industry, SAMA Award-winning songstress, Naima Kay on December 15.

The exceptionally-talented, fast-rising young performer joins a star-studded line-up of artists for the show, including Freshly Ground, Bhudaza and Wanda Baloyi.

The Port Shepstone-born beauty always believed she would one day make a career out of music. Music always surrounded her and she had a fond appreciation for Mirium Makeba, Dorothy Masuka and Mama uBusi Mhlongo.

In mid 2013, she released her first album to wide acclaim, and then went on to win the 2014 South African Music Award (Sama) for best newcomer.

Kay’s first album, Umsebenzi, is clearly rooted in her Christian beliefs but it is also a hip and fresh interpretation of Afro-pop.

Tickets to the concert are available through Computicket from R230 to R400.
