Join councillors at art exhibition
The exhibitioners said this was a great opportunity to view wonderful art while enjoying a glass of wine and eats with family and friends
TWO DA members, one a PR Councillor and one a former councillor, have joined forces to present a night of innovative photographic and graphic art.
Barbara Harrison from Kempton Park and Nicola da Silva from Edenvale have formed an artistic collaboration where they will express their love for art through an exhibition in Benoni.
The two met at the Grahamstown Arts Festival where they discovered their mutual love for art.
“We decided to combine forces and have been working hard in preparation for the exhibition since,” Da Silva, PR Councillor for Daveyton, Springs, said.
The two artists said this was a great opportunity for people to view wonderful art while enjoying a glass of wine and eats with family and friends. Also, art lovers can take advantage of this exhibition by finding beautiful Christmas gifts for loved ones this year.
“Art is one of the truest expressions of the human soul and we believe this is precisely the season when such an exploration becomes most relevant,” Harrison said.
The exhibition will be held on November 15 at the home of Clr Gary Scallan at 15 Whitley Street, Airfield, Benoni and will take place between 6pm and 9pm. Car guards will be provided and regrettably, only cash and EFT will be accepted.
