Party fever hits Tembisa
Not even the rain could dampen the spirits of the fun-loving patrons at the Red Bull Kas’Lami show held at Moriting Park in Tembisa on Sunday, December 7.
People from Tembisa and the surrounding areas braved the cold and the rain to be part of one of the biggest parties this festive season.
The music extravaganza included performance from the likes of DJ Shimza (from Tembisa), Black Coffee, Black Motion, Thebe, Mashayabhuqe, DJ Switch, Boysnbucks, Sibot, Fire Dance Crew, Cuebur, Prophelaz Dance Crew, Charles Webster, Christian Tiger School, Drumetic Boys and Trancemicsoul.
As the DJs were spinning the discs, the crowd was dancing and singing along.
Among the acts, Boyznbucks set the house on fire with when they played their hit song, Amantombaze (Girls).
One of the group’s fans, Ndumiso Gabuza, said he was happy to see them live.
“This is out of this world. The group’s connection with their audience shows they are on a roll. Their attire complements their talent. Modernising the conservative fashion, combining it with the current fashion, skinny jeans with air-force. These guys they are doing their thing. They are setting the trend in music and fashion,” he said.
Sibot, the Prophelas Dance Crew and Drumetic Boyz had the crowd sweating in the cold.
After more than two decades in the industry, Thebe had the audience eating from the palm of his hand.
The boy from from Tembisa, DJ Shimza, had a chance to dish-out some of this music, alongside DJ Black Coffee.
DJ Shimza and DJ Black Coffee played a variety of music, but when they played Koze Kuse by DJ Melon, Mondli Ngcobo and also Black Motion’s Rainbow, the pair had everyone on the dance floor.
Music producer and beats-maker, DJ Sibot, had the crowd captivated while he was spinning the disks.
The set-up of the evening featured a ‘kasi’ feel, which included the VIP area not being too remote from the rest of the patrons.
The night was a success and was clearly enjoyed by all who attended.
