DAMON King from Kempton Park was selected for the South African 17/U baseball team which represented the country at the Africa Baseball World Cup qualifier tournament in Kenya in December. South Africa won the African continent qualifier spot, which allows South Africa to represent Africa in Japan later this year at the U/18 Baseball World Cup where notable baseball nations like the USA and Japan will compete. Damon has been playing baseball for Red Sox in Kempton Park for the past six years and has represented Eastern Gauteng at various provincial tournaments for the past five years.
