Theatre tells Hani’s life story
April is dubbed Chris Hani month in Ekurhuleni, where the City reflects on the life and legacy of the late freedom fighter
Theatre goers are set to be captivated by an exhilarating 75-minute, fast-paced stage play on Friday, April 24 at the Springs Theatre as the City of Ekurhuleni wraps up Chris Hani month commemorations.
“Back to Front – A People’s Man”, is a stage play set to tell the fascinating story of a man who was a staunch freedom fighter, community builder and a political activist through music, drama and dance.
The sequential narrative play of the fallen hero will portray Hani’s life leading to his untimely death 22 years ago on April 10, 1993. The play will also integrate the comparison of South Africa today with the happenings of the past.
