First vintage ‘sherry and soup’ fundraising event
The event is being organised by Mrs Commonwealth finalist and Kempton resident Rina Burke
KEMPTON resident and 2015 Mrs Commonwealth South Africa finalist Rina Burke will be hosting a Vintage Ladies Sherry and Soup fundraising event.
The charity initiative is part of her role as a competition finalist and will be in aid of PinkDrive, the breast cancer awareness NGO.
Burke, also known as “Miss Manners”, runs the Manners4Minors Kempton Park, a fun and interactive programme that introduces young children to the benefits of behaving and using manners that are universally accepted.
The theme for the mid-morning tea is “Sherry & Soup Inspirational Women’s Day.” The tables will already be decorated in this team on the day, so guests just need to come through all dressed up in their tea party outfits.
All refreshments such as food and drinks will be provided for and each lady will still receive a gorgeous goody bag.
Guests will also receive a beautiful full-size Sh’Zen product and they will also sponsor mini-manicures, and a mini-market will also be available.
Each guest is more than welcome to bring a blanket to be donated to the FitFans2015 Blanket Run for underprivileged children
“We are also collecting FM Radios in partnership with A-Plus Akademie that will be donated to the abandoned elderly in old age homes.”
Other fun activities to be done on the day include lucky draws, an auction, inspirational messages from phenomenal guest speakers and excellent entertainment by Werner Rossler.
Tickets will be sold individually at R250 each. There is limited seating available, so pre-book your ticket as soon as possible.
The event will be held on August 1 at Summerfields Primary School in Boksburg, from 9.30am for 10am until 1pm.
The school is situated along Sabre Road, Impala Park.
There are eight seats available at each table and these can be paid for via electronic transfer and proof of payment emailed to rina@manners4minors.co.za.
