One person killed in Tembisa train crash

About 50 passengers have been injured in the collision

ONE person has been killed and about 50 others injured after two trains collided in Tembisa this afternoon.

The trains collided at the rail split from Kaalfontein Station towards Oakmoor and Tembisa Stations.

According to Emer-G-Med paramedics, who are currently at the scene, the deceased is still entrapped within the wreckage of the trains.

Paramedics are attending to an estimated 50 passengers or more, who have sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Additional ambulances and Advanced Life Support response vehicles have been dispatched to the scene.
