Suspects arrested for possession of stolen infrastructure

Police recovered stolen infrastructure goods in Kempton Park.

The Kempton Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit recovered stolen goods on April 20.
The intelligence-driven operation led to the recovery of approximately 14 solar power infrastructure batteries, power converters and network power distributor controls.
The goods were discovered in two different locations.
“Some were found in Wellington Street and others in Beaufighter Street in Rhodesfield,” said Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson Jethro Mtshali.
He said the police received a tip-off about goods allegedly being kept at these premises and sold.
“Two suspects have been arrested on charges of possession of suspected stolen goods and interfering with essential infrastructure.”
