House burglary suspect nabbed in Glen Marais
Benoni Flying Squad makes arrests, vehicle recoveries and drug busts in Thembisa.

Benoni SAPS Flying Squad (BFS) members arrested a house burglary suspect in Glen Marais during operations between April 27 and May 2.
WO Grant Giblin, the BFS communications officer, said members responded to a house burglary in progress at a property in Glen Marais at 06:20 on Sunday.
“Members of the team detained a suspect who was found on the premises with the help of a local security firm. Outside the home, a television, laptop, alcohol and electrical appliances were discovered. Several house robbery tools, including a bolt cutter, were found close to a wall.
“An investigation revealed that the suspect was driving a silver Honda Civic parked across the street from the house. The car was discovered to have fake registration number plates and was reported stolen in a Sebenza case.
“He appeared in Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on charges of house burglary and theft and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, house burglary instruments and stolen items,” said Giblin.
The SAPS members also arrested 10 suspects for possession of and dealing in drugs in Brakpan, Emaphupheni Extension Eight, Etwatwa, Madela Kufa Ext One, Thembisa, Actonville and Benoni.
Mandrax, crystal methamphetamine, nyaope (heroine) and rocks (cocaine) were confiscated in these separate incidents.
The suspects will appear in the local magistrate's courts facing charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.
Three abandoned vehicles that were recovered included a white Toyota Hilux found on Republic Road in Ivory Park reported hijacked on a Midrand case, a silver Ford Figo on Mnisi Street in Thembisa and reported hijacked on a Thembisa South case and a white Ford Ranger on Khumalo Street in Ivory Park reported stolen on an Etwatwa case.
