Suspects are connected to cases committed in Edenvale arrested

The office of Ekurhuleni District Crime Intelligence Trio Task Team has made seven arrests after receiving information regarding suspects planning to hijack motorbikes at Garsfontein.
According to Captain Neldah Sekgobela, the team received the information on May 13.
“The task team followed two suspect vehicles, a silver bakkie and a white Toyota with a Mozambican registration number from Ivory Park to Garsfontein. The information was shared with Garsfontein SAPS,” said Capt Sekgobela.
According to Sekgobela, the suspects at the corner of Disselboom Avenue and Solomon Mahlangu Drive attempted to hijack a motorcycle, but the operational team managed to stop the vehicle.
The suspects were arrested for attempted robbery.
“All the suspects are foreign nationals residing at Tembisa, Ivory Park, and Rabie Ridge. Preliminary investigations revealed that they are linked to cases committed in Edenvale and Boksburg North, in Ekurhuleni.”
