Suspects arrested for car hijacking and business robbery

An Intelligence Driven Operation was launched and two suspects were arrested.

Members of Ekurhuleni Crime Intelligence Trio Task Team, Crime Intelligence, EMPD, Gauteng Traffic and 87 Feature Security apprehended two suspects for illegal possession of firearms.
During the intelligence-driven operation on May 3, the two were cornered in Moedi Section, Thembisa.
Capt Nelda Sekgobela, Ekurhuleni district communications officer, said the two were also found in possession of a stolen red BMW, reported on a Kempton Park case.
“The suspects' red Ford Figo was also seized. One of the suspects has been detained twice in January and March this year,” said Sekgobela.
