Hundreds of suspects nabbed

SAPS and other law enforcement agencies from Ekurhuleni SAPS Police District apprehended 451 suspects between May 13 and 15.
They were arrested for various crimes, including kidnapping, tampering with infrastructure, possession of hijacked vehicles, murder and rape,
During the high-density operation in Thembisa, nine illegal shebeens were closed, and five individuals were detained for drunk driving, one for assault with intent to cause serious bodily harm, one for drug possession and trafficking, and two for drug possession.
The arrests were made through operations such as increased visibility on the streets, visits to liquor stores, stop and search operations and compliance checks at second-hand goods establishments.
