KHS hockey girls face off against the Brits

Krugersdorp High School faced off against Royal Grammar School on the coldest day of the year.

On 25 July, Krugersdorp High School’s U/16 and first team hockey girls hosted the Royal Grammar School from Newcastle, England on the Henry Harman Astro.

The four teams played great hockey, on what was possibly the coldest day of this winter, with Krugersdorp’s U/16 team winning its match with a score of 2–0. The first team unfortunately lost, with a score of 0–2.

After the games, the British girls experienced true South African hospitality, and were introduced to a traditional braai with pap en vleis. Great fun was had by all.
