Local gymnastics club to compete on national level

Club teams from across South Africa will battle it out to be one of the top three teams.

After many hours of blood, sweat and tears, the Impala Gymnastics Club performed exceedingly well during the most recent Gauteng Provincial Competition at Matsport Centre in Pretoria.

After this competition, both the Impala Gymnastic Level 1 and Level 3 teams were selected to compete in the National Team Championships, which will take place on 7 and 8 July this year.

During this championship, club teams from across South Africa will battle it out to be one of the top three teams in the country.

“After a lot of hard work and many hours of training by the girls we are hoping to be one of the top teams in South Africa,” said Lauren Smith, coach and owner of Impala Gymnastics Club.

Belinda Moneron, coach of both teams, also said she is very proud of the girls and looking forward to their performance in July.
