Bekker boys play the game to the fullest
Rugby Week at Bekker offers all players a platform for exposure to various other rugby forums.
Laerskool Bekker Primary School hosted its annual Rugby Week during the last school holidays.
The school would like to thank their sponsor, Mike Erasmus from Xco Gear, for his generous support.
Medals were awarded after every game for the Man of the Match, as well as for the Team of the Week and Player of the Week.
There were approximately 1 100 players and over 100 coaches and referees, and some tough times and some victorious times were had by all.
The Bekker first and second teams did not lose any of their games and the school congratulated them on their clean win.
The Man of the Match winners are as follows:
• Juniors – Phemelo Mudau
• Seniors – Thato Seziba, Tye Mcmanon, Tao Samuel Nel (captain of the first team), Kamo Tsehsane, Oratile Masilo and Ora Tlathledi
Tao’s team won two out of its three games. Tao also plays for the Golden Lions and West District Rugby.
Rugby Week at Bekker offers all players a platform for exposure to various other rugby forums. Several spotters from high schools and other rugby forums were there and many players were offered other opportunities as a result of this event, which was enjoyed by all participating schools.
