Local boy to perform with the Drakies at Joburg Theatre

Joshua Hanekom, a 14-year-old Krugersdorp resident is set to perform with the Drakensberg Boys Choir when they return to the Joburg Theatre at the end of June.

Joshua, who also studies violin at the world-renowned school, said he was looking forward to being on stage when the choir performs at The Mandela at the Joburg Theatre Complex on June 23 and 24.

I cannot wait to get out there to see a new audience and perform on such a wonderful stage,” said Joshua who has been a part of the choir for the past four years.

The ‘Drakies’, as they are known, last appeared at the theatre in 2018.

The show starts at 19:00 on both nights.
