Reservoir levels improving, but recovery remains fragile
With some reservoirs still critically low, reduced consumption remains important to support the recovery of the water supply system.
Following a complete power outage at the Eikenhof Booster Station on Sunday, August 23, Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) Water Services said the water supply system is gradually recovering after power was restored at the Eikenhof Booster Station on August 24.
According to the municipality, reservoir levels are continuing to improve, but the pace of recovery remains dependent on consumer demand.
Residents are therefore encouraged to restrict water consumption to essential household needs only to support the stabilisation of the system. Water Services cautioned that some residents may continue to experience intermittent water supply or no water at all due to critically low water levels at the Kagiso Reservoir.
The municipality will continue to dispatch water tankers until the water supply system has fully recovered.

• Kagiso: 4%
• Kagiso Tower: 3%
• Kenmare Sump: 42%
• Kenmare: 64%
• Azaadville: 58%
• Kagiso Ext 13: 10%
• Rangeview: 40%
• Dan Pienaar: 80%
• Munsieville: 21%
• Tudor: 72%
