Knitted relief for Munsieville

Knitted scarves brought joy to a primary school in Munsieville.

Pupils of Diphalane Primary School will now be able to bear the cold better after receiving boxes stacked with knitted scarves donated by the Expresso TV program which airs on SABC 3 every morning.

The school received a total of 2 500 scarves.

It was all smiles as the pupils tried on scarves that matched their uniforms.

This initiative was made possible by the Project Hope UK organisation, the Expresso TV programme, Med Lemon and GlaxoSmith and Kline.

Afterwards, the pupils playfully showed off their new attire to their friends on the playgrounds.

A group of pupils also had the opportunity to perform a song, which was filmed for the TV program.
