Beauties roughing it at local lodge

Mrs SA 2013 finalists spent a weekend roughing it, all in the name of team spirit.

The finalists of this year’s Mrs SA competition took some time out for a fun-filled boot camp weekend at the Kruger Kloof Lodge situated in the Krugersdorp Game Reserve.

The beauties, four of whom hail from the West Rand, could let their hair down and breathe in the high veld air as they bonded with each other in the bush veld retreat.

The weekend boot camp offered a very busy itinerary for the women, but ultimately becoming one with nature was their main goal.

The NEWS briefly popped in on the Saturday morning as the beauties were getting ready to go on their game drive.

Other activities included bush walks, an early morning boot camp workout, delectable buffets and potjie evening dinners.

The women also attended the Mrs Universe Farewell gala dinner at Emperors Palace.

The camp was rounded off with an interesting workshop on skin care and a swimsuit-ready motivational talk.

Overall the finalists and Mrs SA personnel were extremely impressed by the lodge and their staff.

“Their hospitality was incredible and the lodge’s upkeep was of high standard,” says Candice Fehrsen, Mrs South Africa Pageant Manager.

The pageant final will be held on 5 October at Emperors Palace.
