Hijacked men locked in boot
A group of men were locked in the boot of a BMW after being hijacked on Main Reef Road.

A group of men survived a hijacking and kidnapping nightmare on their way back from work on Tuesday 17 September.
According to Krugersdorp SAPS spokesperson constable Tshepiso Mashale, a 20-year-old man and a group of his colleagues stopped at an intersection on Main Reef Road in Luipaardsvlei when an armed hijacker ran towards them.
“The driver was forced to the passenger seat, while his colleagues were seated at the back,” she says.
“They were taken to an open veld where four other suspects waited for them.”
Stopping in the veld, the men were ordered to get inside the boot of a BMW and later were dropped off in the Lenasia area.
“No shots were fired and the victims did not sustain serious injuries,” says Mashale.
The case is being investigated by the VIS Unit in Protea Glen and anyone with more information is called upon to contact the unit at 011 231 9000.
The registration number of the hijacked vehicle, a white Isuzu bakkie is BF 75RC GP.
