Running long distances makes six cross country athletes from Phatudi Primary School happy, especially when they bring back medals for their school. These runners, Brandy Batswadi, Phemelo Kgwediaphuku, Realeboga Seoposengwe, Resego Thapedi, Goncalves Maguvo and Patricia Ndlovu have taken part in the district-level cross-country championships at Monument High School on 24 August where they managed to bag six silver medals.
From there they progressed to the provincial cross-country championships that was held at Ruimsig Stadium on 7 September where Brandy and Realeboga received a bronze and gold medal respectively.
Three of the runners, Brandy, Realeboga and Resego also took part in the national qualifiers on 21 September at the University of the Free State.
