Local music DVD to encourage upliftment

MLK strives so hard to uplift art on the West Rand by giving someone a chance.

MLK Productions is releasing a music video DVD compilation of artists from Swanieville, Kagiso, Munsieville, Mohlakeng and Rietvallei on 13 December in Kagiso. MLK hopes to create future role models and to inspire this generation of youth by sending a positive message that will help them not to be influenced by negative behaviour relating to drugs, crime and under-age sex, which also leads to teenage pregnancy.

“We all need someone to look up to; someone who we can relate to; someone in whose positive footsteps we can follow and also become future leaders in our communities and our country,” says Moloko Deptah Matladi of MLK.

Moloko says that the DVD compilation is a community development project of music videos that will assist unknown artist around the West Rand to unite for the purpose of developing local music.

MLK strives so hard to uplift art on the West Rand by giving someone a chance to develop their skills in music and further their dreams.

“We hope that this project will be received in a positive way so that young, passionate, upcoming artists will receive more support in their communities and across the West Rand.”

Expect to see all the artists that contributed to the DVD during a live tour that kicks off in Kagiso.
