Educator’s passion is schooling
Rod Ellis, English Home Language teachers' vision is that Curro Krugersdorp grows in numbers.
To work with pupils who are willing to give it all, is why Rod Ellis decided to make Curro Krugersdorp his new family.
“I applied to several Curro Schools because I wanted to experience the availability of technology in the classroom.”
He says that his career, now a passion, chose him as “all roads I took led to this one destination”.
Rod, who will be teaching English Home Language to Grade 4, 5 and 6 pupils, started his teaching career at Potch High School as a fourth-year student.
“Thereafter I schooled at Westonaria, Fochville and now at Curro, making it my sixth year as an educator.”
His vision for Curro is that it will grow in numbers.
“I want to see the transition from a small private school to a strong competitive force.”
When he is not at school, he trains for the marathon.
“I will be joining the Khosa Running Club as soon as I can.”
To his new pupils he has these words of caution: “If you are a naughty pupil in my class you would have to adapt, or else …”
