Teacher won’t trade her profession for something else

Dania Potgieter, a new teacher at Curro Krugersdorp says that she knew that teaching was for her.

When Dania Potgieter, a new teacher at Curro Krugersdorp saw the advertisement for new teachers at Curro Krugersdorp, she realised that it was the perfect opportunity to become part of this school.

Now her dream is to see Curro Krugersdorp becoming one of the top private schools on the West Rand.

“We need to prepare the pupils for lifelong learning by developing them creatively, emotionally, academically and physically.”

Dania says she wanted to be a teacher for as long as she could remember.

“Teaching is a passion. I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl when I used to take my teddy bears and dolls and teach them.”

Now with 16 years’ experience as an educator this Grade R English teacher says that she still enjoys being a teacher and that she doesn’t think she will be trading her teaching profession for something else very soon.
