Three critical and one airlifter after accident
A 17-year-old and two adults were treated on the scene for possible head injuries as well as multiple fractures.

Two adults and two children sustained critical injuries on Sunday afternoon, 9 February when they were ejected from their vehicle on the R28 in Azaadville.
Shortly after 3.30pm paramedics arrived on the scene and found the occupants several metres away from their vehicle. It appears as if the vehicle overturned several times before it came to a rest in an open veld, approximately 20 metres away from the road.
“They [paramedics] found an eight-year-old boy with critical injuries and initiated Advanced Life Support treatment. ER24’s AER24 medical helicopter was called to the scene to airlift the boy to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital,” said ER 24’s communications manager, Werner Vermaak.
A 17-year-old and two adults were treated on the scene for possible head injuries as well as multiple fractures.
They were stabilised on the scene before being rushed off to Leratong Hospital for further medical care.
“At this stage the exact cause of the collision is not yet known. It is understood that there were no other vehicles involved.”
