Rotary funds assist the destitute

Funds raised from the Krugersdorp public is being used to assist the destitute people of Krugersdorp.

The Monument Rotary Club donated a Wheelchair to Quentin Kruger who was paralysed tragically in a motorbike accident in Krugersdorp three years ago, only two years after his marriage to Illana, an SA athlete.

Quentin, a former first team centre is a very vibrant person who uses his misfortune to help other people who are in a similar or worse situation.

Monument also donated R9 000 to the Robert Palk Centre for the Care of the Aged, towards a holiday to the ATKV Badplaas Resort for some of the elderly people.

The Monument Rotary Anne’s also are handing out stationary kits to children who cannot afford it. Any school with such a need can contact Nicolene Botha at nicolene@anbvet.co.za for assistance.

Funds raised from the Krugersdorp public from the golf days and raffles organised by the Monument Rotary Club is being used to assist the destitute people of Krugersdorp.
