Community called to help clean up the CBD

Residents are encouraged to lend a hand in efforts to restore pride in the CBD.

So Love Krugersdorp, together with several partner organisations, is calling on community members to join its latest clean-up initiative aimed at improving Krugersdorp.

The clean-up will take place on Saturday, June 6, at Jackson Park, near the Krugersdorp Fire Station on the corner of Boshoff and Commissioner Street.

According to member Wayne Yeates and Ward 20 councillor Mark Trump, volunteers are encouraged to bring:
• spray bottles
• strong gloves
• scrapers
• buckets
• brooms and scoops
• liquid soap and bleach

Refuse bags will be provided by the councillor, and participants are welcome to bring gazebos.

The clean-up forms part of the organisation’s and public officials’ ongoing efforts to revitalise the CBD and encourage greater community involvement in driving positive change.
