Boy dies after being flung from car during crash
Paramedics found three extensively injured people on the scene, one being a fifteen-year-old boy who succumbed to his injuries.
A fifteen-year-old boy tragically lost his life after he was flung from a car during a horror accident on the N14 on Thursday afternoon 27 March.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann, emergency teams were called to the scene following a report that a vehicle had overturned on the N14 near Malibongwe Drive in Nooitgedacht.
“Arriving on scene, paramedics found three people who all sustained extensive injuries,” says Steinmann.
“Among the injured were two children who were flung from the vehicle due to impact as well as female driver,” she adds.
One of the children, a fifteen-year-old boy, died on the scene due to the injuries he had sustained and the other child together with the female driver were in a critical condition.
According to Steinmann the surviving victims were treated on scene before they were rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that they required.
Exact details to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
